Application for a short-term loan from BISS

From February 17 to September 1, farmers can apply for an interest-free short-term loan from the basic income support for sustainability (BISS). The short-term loan amount will be deducted in the autumn from the BISS advance or final payment.

Farmers can submit their applications for the short-term loan through the Rural Support Service’s Electronic Application System.

From February 17 to April 15, a loan of up to 40 euros per hectare can be received, based on the 2024 geospatial application data for area payments. After April 15, when applications for area payments can be submitted, the loan will be granted at 60 euros per hectare, based on the new 2025 application data. Farmers who have received a loan of 40 euros per hectare will be able to apply for an increase of an additional 20 euros per hectare in April.

It should be noted that this loan is considered de minimis aid.
