Support for investments for energy efficiency, renewable energy and emission reduction goals
From April 25 to May 27, Rural Support Service invites to submit projects to receive support for investments for limited purposes in two sub-measures of the “Investments in tangible assets” event: “Support for investments in agricultural farms” and “Support for investments in processing”.
Projects that contribute to the implementation of climate change or adaptation measures are eligible for support. Only investments in the purchase and construction of fixed assets for the installation of renewable energy production equipment are eligible.
Funding is not distributed by region, but by goal directions and beneficiaries.
“Support for investments in agricultural farms”
Supported activities – purchase of equipment and machinery; construction, insofar as it is necessary for the installation of renewable energy production equipment. Funding is divided by groups of farms:
- group of small farms – 1 million euros;
- group of medium farms – 2.4 million euros;
- group of large farms – 2.6 million euros.
Funding for investments in emission reduction is planned in the amount of ten million euros. Distribution by farm groups:
- group of small farms – 1.5 million euros;
- group of medium farms – 4 million euros;
- group of large farms – 4.5 million euros.
The total funding for various types of investments in organic farms is six million euros. Support is not granted for investments in the purchase of agricultural tractors and self-propelled harvesting equipment. Funding is divided by farm groups:
- group of small farms – 2.5 million euros;
- for the group of medium farms – 2 million euros;
- for the group of large farms – 1.5 million euros.
“Support for investments in processing”
A total of five million euros has been allocated for investments in energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy.
Supported activities:
- Implementation of technologies for the use of renewable energy (biofuel, solar energy);
- investments in lighting, production lines and other devices or equipment, increasing energy efficiency by at least 20 percent compared to the layer, device, lighting or production line to be replaced.
On the other hand, the financing of cooperative societies in both sub-measures is two million euros, intended for energy efficiency, use of renewable energy and reduction of emissions.
The maximum amount of eligible costs for the support applicant is calculated together with the public funding received during the transition period (2021 – 2023).
The end date of the implementation of the submitted projects, if investments are made for the purchase of fixed production assets or for construction related to the installation of renewable energy production equipment, is one year from the approval of the decision of the Rural Support Service, but no longer than until August 1, 2025.
The conditions of the events and more detailed information are available on the website of the Rural Support Service (RSS) in the section: Types of support – Projects and investments. Project submissions must be submitted to the RSS’s Electronic Application System (EPS).
Projects can be implemented with the support of the European Union’s European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Rural Development Program (2014-2020 planning period).
